Why you and your clients should be worried about Security

I am not talking about the Security you find escorting you to your car at the dark Mall parking lot either. They are not much different then the Perimeter Detection security solutions out there on the market that every one seems to have.

Many people think security is their firewall or the passwords you use to log into a million of your applications (which you probably have sticky notes all over your cube with hints and the actual PC listed on it!!)

Security in my sales jargon these days is something served up from IBM. Specifically AppScan (coupled with Ounce Labs). And this security has to do with your Websites and ever pervasive Web Apps. Now combined with Ounce Labs you have source code testing security. It might be the most under served market in desperate need for something they didn't know they didn't have!

Just take a look at this article from Bank Info Security website from March 22nd

I bet the number of banks with security breaches would of been smaller, had my company and IBM 's AppScan or Ounce Labs products been implemented first. The best line of defense these days is to check your code in the development phase - since we know everyone has a firewall, most have something that tells them if there was a breach.. but how do you fix a breach before it happens?  You have to strengthen your code.
